Relaunch of Revised Renate Saga!

Renate Saga series: Horizons, Winding Roads, Coming Home

So excited to update this trilogy! The original series was published quite some time ago so we thought we would share the series with a new generation of readers!

The Renate Saga Trilogy is a slow-burn, closed door fantasy romance. I first wrote it with the help of my daughters, gaining their input on what they wanted to see in the plot and characters. The result was a deeply emotional journey of a young woman who boldly faces challenges to reach a place of belonging and love.

Renate Saga Part I: Horizons is the first part in a story about a girl who has always lived on the edges—of places, of people, of her own heart.

Elly has never been sure where she fits in—or if she fits in at all.

When an unexpected connection begins to unfold, Elly is drawn into a relationship that challenges everything she believes about herself. For the first time, she is not simply tolerated or overlooked—she is sought after. Most concerning, Elly is sought after by enemies wanting her dead.

As Elly steps beyond the life she has always known, she must confront the fear that whispers she is not enough, even as hope dares her to believe otherwise. Horizons is the beginning of a journey that moves Elly from isolation to connection, from longing to belonging, and toward a love that does not ask her to disappear—but invites her to become.

The first book in The Renate Saga trilogy, Horizons opens a deeply emotional trilogy about identity, devotion, and finding your place beside the person who sees you for who you truly are.

Enjoy!!

Cover Update!

Previous covers

It has been a number of years since our Creative Collective published our first book: Horizons, Part I of the Renate Saga and the first of the trilogy. While I still love the original covers for the series, I feel it might be time to freshen up the look of the work.

We are planning to re-release an updated version of the Renate Saga early in 2022. Stay tuned…

RTQ Sneak Peek!

We at ShiftersPress Collective are very excited about the upcoming release of our latest work: Read This Quickly (Or We All Die). We are so excited, in fact, that we couldn’t quite wait until the book is out and just had to share a bit of it with you. Enjoy the first chapter!

RTQ Chapter One:

From Steven:

My most professional apologies. The story you were expecting to read cannot be found in this book. Plot, characters, and syntax have all escaped via an inter-dimensional portal and have now become hopelessly tangled with reality (that, and we got blood all over the cover). Your only choice is to accept the good with the bad, taking the heroes with the villains. If you choose to shut this book and place it back on the shelf, simply pray that they do not find you.

We never meant to wreck the universe. Of course, nobody ever does. If you must blame someone, the vast majority of the fault lies with fantasy novelist Reese Richardson. She was the one, after all, who dreamed up the means for the creative world to suddenly flood over into this perfectly proper existence we call the twenty-first century. Thanks to her efforts, the villains are now running about, wreaking havoc in the streets and causing nearly as much damage as the protagonists.

Once more it is up to average people like you and me to don our grown up underwear and do what needs to be done—the very difficult task that nobody seems to want to do: wade laboriously through the uninspired writings of Reese Richardson and face down her poorly developed characters. It’s that or flee to an exotic beach somewhere and await the coming onslaught of terror with a drink in one hand and a sappy romance novel in the other. Your choice really.

Best of luck,

The Editors
